On those rare occasions when we must get on the roof we always use a roof ladder to access those awkward spots.
Does my roof need a chemical treatment?
For the man made cement based roof slate, we don't recommend getting a chemical treatment, as this can discolour the slate. For concrete based roof tiles, which are much more durable, a chemical treatment can inhibit moss, algae and lichin regrowth for years to come.
